About Me

Hi! I’m Becca, an avid Disney fan (my husband may say obsessive), and an adventurous home cook. A few years ago, I found my grandparents’ old-fashioned ice cream churner in the basement. Shortly after that, I was gifted “Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream at Home,” a.k.a. the greatest cookbook I’ve ever read. It was Kismet. I started making ice cream for friends and family every chance I could, starting with the unexpected recipes I found in her book. I soon started a running list of flavor combinations I wanted to try, and looked for new inspiration everywhere.

And, of course, where better to be inspired than Walt Disney World?

My love of Disney is pretty much life-long and family-wide. My grandparents would take us when we visited them in Florida, my extended family would plan trips together, we went with family friends, and celebrated high school graduations at the World. Which, of course, led to 8 months working in the Disney College Program, becoming a seasonal cast member while in college, and then celebrating our Disney Wedding and honeymoon in 2012.

Walt Disney World is just filled with so many nostalgic memories and new surprises, that you can’t help but be inspired with every visit. So, I decided to see if there was a way to combine my love of WDW with my desire to create interesting ice cream. The ideas came even easier than I expected, probably because Disney and ice cream both hold a special magic 🙂

So, whether you’re here because you love Disney, ice cream, or both, I hope you find the magic and memories that may inspire you to create something you love.

  1. Thanks for following my blog (Disney Nerds)! I just had to tell you that I thought it was super interesting that your name is Becca Crossley. My wife is a Crossley (and makes me wonder if somehow you’re related) and she named her first dog Becca. Just a very small world. We met in Atlanta, GA but now live on the west coast. Good luck blogging!

    • Thanks so much, Craig! I love your site and consider myself a Disney Nerd 🙂 Crossley is my husband’s name, and we’re from PA but he has a huge, huge family so it wouldn’t surprise me if we were related somewhere down the line 🙂
